To make an appointment with an FP staff member, you will need to download a mobile app called Navigate Student.听Navigate Student is an app that you鈥檒l use for many resources and services at Pitt.听It will tip you off to important events coming up, can help you find the right fit major, connect you with support, allow you to make appointments with advisors, and stay ahead of roadblocks.听
This app is available in the Apple Store or Google Play Store, and you can search for it by typing 鈥淣avigate Student鈥.听It is also .听
Once you download the app, you will be prompted to select your school (type in:听University of Pittsburgh)
You will be asked to sign in with your Pitt username and password
You will be asked to authenticate your login using .
You will be prompted to fill out a short survey about your academic experiences and interests.
After you鈥檝e taken these steps, use the app to schedule an appointment with an FP staff member.
Click on the "Appointments"听button on the home screen.
Choose "Schedule an Appointment"
Choose "Advising"
Choose "Non-Advising First-Year Programs Appointments: Virtual"
Pick the reason for your appointment,听 for example "First-Year course TA discussion" or "Academic community discussion"
Choose the staff member you would like to see and date and time that works for your schedule
Be sure to click confirm appointment.
If you need to cancel or re-schedule an appointment:
- On the Navigate student app/website, simply go to Appointments > Details > Cancel Appointment.听
- Then you can use app/website to schedule another appointment
